Year 5 Curriculum
Parents and carers were invited into school to enjoy a Maths lesson with us. We explored the number 70, in particular with the area and perimeter of shapes.
Eagles learnt all about the lifecycle of eagles and made a replica of an eagle's nest.
We also had the challenge of creating harnesses for easter eggs to travel down a zip wire safely (and in still in tact at the end!)
Year 5 were given a special mission by the American embassy to collect various items from the USA. They travelled to New York, Colorado and Washington DC.
The children were tasked with making boats to travel across Lake Ontario. They made skis to travel down the snowy slopes of Colorado and found out lots of facts about George Washington.
Year 5 enjoyed their parent workshop. We learnt about the lifestyles of the Native Americans and built our own teepees.
