Junior Leadership Team

 

From September, everyone at Tividale Hall will be starting their new classes which means we will have a new Junior Leadership Team! Please read through all of the job descriptions below by clicking on the heading and apply for any position/s you feel you would be able to represent our school well in - just remember to check that you meet the person specification.  The job application forms can either be completed electronically or printed and handed in. Paper copies will be available to complete when the children return to school. Everyone is welcome to apply and all applications must be completed and handed to Mr Grimes, or alternative emailed to school.office1@tividalehall.sandwell.sch.uk, no later than Friday 18th September.

 Head Boy & Head Girl Job Descriptions

 

Junior Leadership Job Vacancies 2020/21

Job title: Head Boy/ Head Girl

Overview:

Tividale Hall Primary will have one Head Boy and one Head Girl. You will have to go through an interview process which consists of two stages:

1)  Delivering a speech in front of teachers and peers about why you would like to be a Head Boy/ Girl.

2)  If you get through stage one, you will have an interview with the Senior Leadership Team.

If you are successful, you will work with the Senior Leadership Team to represent and improve the school.

Job description:

·        You will lead the Junior Leadership Team (House Captains, School Council, Eco Warriors, Presentation Prefects and Friendship Prefects).

·        You will ensure that a student voice is represented in key decisions and developments within school.

·        You need to feel confident and comfortable talking to adults and 

students and have a reputation as an excellent role model.

·        You need to have good organisational and communication skills and    have a mature and thoughtful outlook.

·        To organise and plan regular meetings with the Junior Leadership Team and ensure that actions are completed.

·        To represent and speak for all students in the school and support and  prepare activities that encourages and supports the learning of others.

·        To  be  internal  and  external  ambassadors  for  the  school  and   to  act   as  outstanding role models for all students at Tividale Hall Primary School.

·        To greet important visitors to the school and potentially show them around.

·        To report to the Senior Leadership Team and governors as and when requested.

Person specification:

·        Must be in Year 6

·        Consistently demonstrates all our school values

·        Consistently follows our Tividale Top 3

·        Is an exemplary role model

·        Can confidently speak in front of others

Friendship Prefect Job Description

 

Junior Leadership Job Vacancies 2020/21

Job title: Friendship Prefect

Overview:

Tividale Hall Primary will have two Friendship Prefects per year group. You will have to go through an interview process which consists of two stages:

1)  Delivering a speech in front of teachers and peers about why you would like to be a Friendship Prefect.

2)  If you get through stage one, you will have an interview with the Senior Leadership Team.

If you are successful, you will need to be approachable, kind, respectful and most importantly, always be available to be a friend to all the other children.

Job description:

·        You will be part of the Junior Leadership Team (Head Boy/Girl, House Captains, School Council, Eco Warriors, Presentation Prefects and Friendship Prefects).

  • You will help to encourage children to play co-operatively with each other.‚Äč
  • You will help children to resolve minor conflicts. 
  • You will offer support to children who are looking to make more friends. 

·        You need to feel confident and comfortable talking to students and have a reputation as an excellent role model.

·        You need to have good communication skills and have a mature and thoughtful outlook.

·        To report to the Senior Leadership Team and governors as and when requested.

House Captain Job Description

 

Junior Leadership Job Vacancies 2020/21

Job title: House Captain

Overview:

Tividale Hall Primary will have sixteen house captains: two from each house in Year 3&4 and two from each house in Year 5&6. You will have to go through an interview process which consists of two stages:

1)  Delivering a speech in front of teachers and peers about why you would like to be a house captain.

2)  If you get through stage one, you will have an interview with the Senior Leadership Team.

If you are successful, you will be an ambassador for your house and represent them at whole school events. You will be involved in assembly planning and delivery, organising inter-house competitions and promoting the ethos and spirit of your individual house.  

Job description:

·        You will be part of the Junior Leadership Team (Head Boy/Girl, House Captains, School Council, Eco Warriors, Presentation Prefects and Friendship Prefects).

·        You will ensure that a student voice is represented in key decisions and developments regarding house affairs.

·        You need to feel confident and comfortable talking to adults and students and have a reputation as an excellent role model.

·        You need to have good organisational and communication skills and have a mature and thoughtful outlook.

·        To organise and plan regular inter-house competitions.

·        To collect house dojo totals each week.

·        To report to the Senior Leadership Team and governors as and when requested.

Presentation Prefect Job Description

Job title: Presentation Prefect

Overview:

Tividale Hall Primary will have one Presentation Prefect per class. You will have to go through an interview process which consists of two stages:

1)  Delivering a speech in front of teachers and peers about why you would like to be a Presentation Prefect.

2)  If you get through stage one, you will have an interview with the Senior Leadership Team.

If you are successful, you will be an ambassador for outstanding presentation at our school. You will be involved in ‘book looks’ to assess the quality of presentation in children’s books across the school and feedback to classes about what is going well and how to improve further.
